Cotton & Sons Cleaning Supplies - Warranty Policy
Cotton & Sons warrant to the original purchaser that its products are free of defects in both material and workmanship for the period shown below:-
Vacuum Cleaners, floorcare machines, carpet cleaners (and all electrical/battery operated machines): 1 Year
Equipment over the value of £100 (such as window cleaning poles, pump sprayers and items sold separately for cleaning use) : 1 Year
Individual Accessories and Spare Parts: 6 Months
Note: This warranty expressly excludes consumable parts such as carbon brushes, floor brushes, mops, motors or pumps within “heavy use” etc. that are considered replaceable from time to time during the normal working life of the machine.
Using non genuine parts or spares on a machine/equipment can be detrimental to both machine performance and life and may invalidate the Warranty.
a. The warranty period commences from the date the goods are purchased.
b. All warranty claims must be processed through Cotton & Sons, provided the equipment was purchased via Cotton & Sons. Cotton & Sons will co-operate with the purchaser throughout the warranty claims procedure and will arrange any necessary repairs using genuine manufacturers parts.
c. If the fault is referred and deemed to be a manufacturing fault/issue, Cotton & Sons may arrange that the machine/equipment is sent to the manufacturer for assessment and/or repair. A replacement machine/equipment may be provided in its place depending on availability at that time but this is to the discretion of Cotton & Sons.
d. Any warranty claim can only relate to the specific part that is proven to be at fault and for which a replacement will be supplied but cannot be extended to constitute a claim against the complete appliance.
e. Claims will not be accepted if they are the result of fair wear and tear, misuse or abuse of any kind.
f. No replacement will be given unless the appropriate evidence of the validity of the claim has been provided to the satisfaction of Cotton & Sons Cleaning Supplies.
g. Cotton & Sons reserve the right to charge for any unnecessary work carried out as a result of an invalid claim. Cotton & Sons also reserve the right to refuse warranty for any items not purchased via Cotton & Sons even if repairs have been made within the manufacturer’s warranty period timescale.
h. No variation to this warranty may be made or implied by any member of Cotton & Sons Cleaning Supplies unless such variation is in writing and authorised by the Company.
